Well, I could really use a ghost writer like yours. This is an original idea and makes for a great entry for the contest. It's well written with a good pace that makes for an enjoyable read. Good luck with the contest.

Do you loan Lawrence out? I could use little inspiration today. I would offer to pay, but I know that ghosts don't need money. That would be perfect, a co-author who worked for free.

Lawrence says he works as a consultant only for the man who puts a roof over his house. Sorry. But thank you for sharing our collaboration.

That is very well done. I love the way you attacked the story of having an invisible writer friend. I once wrote a book called The Spirits Within and this story would be a perfect fit.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and Merry Christmas!

The ghost writer who is being helped/inspired to write contest entries on FS by a ghost. I like the thought/idea of that, it would be pretty cool and knowing without a doubt that there is life after death would be even cooler. Good Luck!

Good piece of flash fiction. I enjoyed this interaction with Lawrence, and I thought he's probably giving you very good advice because I didn't pause on many things in your story. I found a couple of things for your consideration.

"Lawrence" --Since you've already established his name, I would delete the quote marks.

When I urged him to work with me on contest entries, he eagerly agreed and the team was formed. --Suggest a comma before and. You have two complete sentences.

Good luck in the contest,
Russell

Cool! Some part is tell, but I can understand you need to keep the words short.
I wish you luck in the contest.
Nice to meet you Lawrence. (Also, good technique to put Lawrence's speech in bold.)

Boy. It must be nice to have a ghost help you come up with ideas, editing, and inform you of contest results.
I'll trade you my maniacal muse for your Victorian ghost.
No?
I just thought I'd ask.
As all flash fiction should (actually, ALL stories, period), your story has a definite beginning, a conflict, and an end, or resolution.
The dialogue was realistic and believable.

This is super. I'd grant six stars if I had 'em. You've done a great job with your ghostwriting character. It seems that he likes a little recognition from time to time. Much luck in the contest with this enjoyable story. Marilyn

You bring us into this relationship with this spooky ghostwriter very easily. He seems to appear very matter of fact, out of thin air, as it were. But he seems very real, and you provide some evidence in the tools that seem to move around mysteriously from room to room. There is something really kind of spooky about words appearing out of nowhere on a computer screen from some other personality. estory

About time a ghostwriter stood up for himself and demanded credit for your work, Roy. I had always suspected you were not writing your pieces, and now I know why. Thanks for being honest. LOL
