    I absolutely agree, the ad part is meant to be funny but the content is a basic truism. This day and time, morals seem to have gone astray for many. Since I never do well in contests, It's okay if it isn't funny enough to get votes. ( Smile)

Sure it's funny, Anonymous Poet.
It's a sad testament to our choice of acceptable candidates for government office, but it's funny nonetheless.
You know what else is funny?
Out of all the hard-working, honest, decent people with morals and integrity in this great nation of ours, these are the best candidates we can come up with.

    I thank you for reading and the generously kind comments. Yes, the state of affairs, no pun intented, of this great country is in jeapordy. The qualified candidates are unable to run for office for they are too poor to campaign. Yet, Abe Lincoln was humble and poor, hmm.
    God help us see our wicked ways and restore the faith.

I think you covered it in one! I think it is very difficult to put so much into such a short work, and I think you did it in spades! Well done! I would like to try some of these, but I'm not sure I'm braver enough!
