Prince is quite deterring if he looks anything like the photo. I suppose that a watchdog is good advice for break ins. I would hope a better neighborhood would work but I guess we must all work with what we have. Wise use of the form offering a helpful message, enjoyed reading it.

A good Tetractys contest entry.
Very descriptive.
The picture is freaky and matches perfectly.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

Format looks fine and I enjoyed the humour implicit in the poem. I have a little query over that, however, in that the joke would be largely meaningless without the accompanying artwork.
Good luck.

Hi Steve. That's true. In fact, the picture was the inspiration for the piece. I consider that practice kosher for humorous effect.
(I notice that it's regularly utilized on FS, the ends justifying the means, if it works, don'tcha think?) Thanks for saying you enjoyed the humor.

I'm a little divided - leaning towards the idea that the words of a poem should be able to stand on their own...

Fabulous poem. LOVED the artwork that you chose to go along with this. Fabulous.
I certainly did not find anything to correct or suggest. I wish you all the very best in the contest for this poem. LOL This reminds me of the night our dobermann pinned someone against the wall of our house. The kid said he must have sleptwalk ... right over our six foot fence no less! LOL
All the best.
