Good lyrics, you did a good job with them, but I think it's too short. Song lyrics usually have different verses, etc. Best of luck in the contest.

Ooo. This would make a great song! Excellent lyrics flow well and tell a sad story - but good for her for being strong and doing the sensible thing! I don't see anything that needs to be corrected, except the picture is sideways.

i like this song by the other woman. yes, so often the man doesn't intend to ever leave his wife so I like the 2 glasses of wine.

These are great lyrics for a song. I really like that they had kind of a country vibe. I could see Carrie Underwood singing this! I think it will do well in the contest, thanks for sharing.

Whilst there is a depth of feeling to this piece, it strikes me that it would be a particularly short or repetitive song. Most songs averaging three to four minutes...

This Lyrics Make The Song Contest entry is strongly rhymed and elicits strong emotion of love lost, which begs the question, was it love versus lust for the participants. A very common philosophy. Solid abcb rhyming scheme. All the best in the contest! :0 GracieAnn

HI anon - this is a lovely song. The words are really good, sung by the other woman. Good story, good words and well written. 'We had a love that couldn't last
For you were never mine. She's waiting for you back at home; Just two glasses for your wine.' Words like that go down well in a love song. Well done and Good luck in the contest. Regards Dorothy x

Nicely done lyrics, my friend, it has a great rhythm to it. It's also, sad she left, lol, I know it's just a song, but a sad song:)) Have a great weekend. ~Kerry

This is a very poignant lyric and, with the right tune and singer, could be a big hit. The words that end both second and final verses "just two glasses for your wine" remind me of Princess Diana's comment on the presence of the lady Camilla Parker-Bowles, as she then was, on the periphery of her marriage to Prince Carles. It was something about there being too many in that marriage. Diana would have understood this one well.

This is beautifully written.
There are so many love stories like this one that can never come to fruition... Life is tough sometimes, isn't it?
Good luck in the contest.
