Farewell to the long daylight hours as shorter days descend, a sad goodbye and Spring will soon dawn and so the cycle continues, an unusual tribute or ode with a good flow and great rhymes, love Dolly x

Thank you. I know people who hate daylight savings, but it allows golf and other fun things for those of us who have to work all day. So glad the contest gave me the chance to celebrate it.

Fun little ode. I too hate the shift off Daylight Saving Time. Sixteen lines seems like the right length for the content. It didn't overstay its welcome./ The rhymes all work. I'd call this a great piece.

I really like that you enjoyed my rhyming observation of the passing of summer. Always a sad time when I must trade the day and outside for the night and inside. The good news? Spring draws closer every day!

An excellent take on daylight saving ( we do not have this) but have heard many good and bad comments about it ) one dear old Lady told me that with the extra sunlight it fades her curtains, I like your positive outlook much better****kahpot

This is a very well written Ode. I am with you on missing the idea of Daylight Savings time. You used very good descriptive wording describing what we will be missing. You used very good imagery with the nice picture. This was my favorite part of your well written poem:
Yet, you have faithfully returned each
Spring, just as robins and flowers do,
So, I shall be warmed from winter's chill
Just knowing I can count on you!

Best wishes in the contest. Teri
