I liked this. There is an element of self reflection in there that I can relate to. The sense of developing ones feelings about writing while developing as a person to the point where you have enough confidence in your ability to publish. Quite scary, but worth it in the end.

Very nice. I love the honesty in your poem and also how you tell us a story from your childhood while sharing your love of reading (and why). Very well written- easy to read. Great job.

Good morning, Boogynights: This is a wonderful Bio-entry. I can appreciate everything that you are saying in it and I also could relate to your situation and past memories.
I think that most of us all started as young ones, filling our notebooks up with poetry and stories. Some of us have given it up for a time period but we always return to it. It is a not only a passion for us but a realized gift from God. We hear poetry in everything that we hear and see, even in our dreams and especially from what we feel. Then we rush to jot it down quickly so as to not forget it.
You simply must publish some or most of those notebooks full of poetry, as books. This is the best way to become known, even if you just do it for the family. It really feels great when you can see your own published book or books on your children's bookshelves. My husband cherishes my first book and he cherishes everything, I have ever written. My sisters, my children and the rest of my family and friends do so love my writings also. You can not trade this kind of fame for anything in the world. It is a major accomplishment.
This is a great poem, good job!

This speaks about poet's own life literature, how interest in learning grew and she keeps it with a happy family; she hopes for keeping a legacy behind and she continues living so; I liked.

When I started writing in school I wrote tons and tons. I filled many notebooks. My one teacher asked me what I was going to do with it all. It was like she was bashing me for writing. She told me they'd just sit on a bookshelf at my house. I just rolled my eyes. My husband kicked my butt in gear and I wrote my first book this year. We were sitting around at a cook out at my parents house discussing out obituaries and what they'd read, someone we had known had just died, and my sister looked at me and said that my obituary would now have my book in it. How cool! I don't plan on dying anytime soon but how cool! I don't have kids, I may never have kids, but this is cool. I hope your dreams come true

A lot of hard work and you can do it. I hate the people who way just keep dreaming sarcastically like you're wasting your time. Whatever dude.
