Although confusion and disagreement rear its head around the child, she is loved. I find Patricia comical when she complains about money and unpaid rent while set to go on vacation. She has no worries because she knows Anderson will help her in the end.

I'm back - and pretty settled in our new home. Well worth all the stress of moving.

Another great chapter, Barbara - it's all happening. Patricia is so demanding - used to getting her own way, it seems.

A couple of minor things to look at:

Emily and I are on the way to the park[?](.) - period not ?

live-in help
live-in Nanny

Blessings,
Margaret

Hi Barbara,

That mother is not nice, can't even use the child's name...sigh

Should it be Fiji Islands?

Emily and I are on the way to the park?" Anderson's fingers rapped on the desk. - this feels more like a statement than a question.

money for a live in nanny - maybe hyphenate here - live-in.

My ticket was only for one way - this puzzled me, why would she do this? Or did she just expect Anderson to fly her back?

I am wondering why she did it also, but she did. I think maybe she only had money for one way and figured Anderson would pay to get her home. Hmmm, Patricia didn't share that part with me, yet. Thank you for the kind review and I made the corrections.

Another interesting installment. Would he really be so cruel as to strand his ex in another country? Perhaps it's deserved. Well done.

Patricia sounds spoilt and demanding. She wants everything laid on for her because she thinks she looks so hot. Obviously, not hot enough to keep her husband nor hot enough to find a new one. She's lazy and arrogant.
Emily wished to speak to her mother, but Dad hung up.
There will be no happy outcome for Emily, no matter what. Divorce always leaves children damaged.
I chose to live with my mother because my father beat her so badly that I feared to see him again.
And then when I didn't do and say exactly as my mother wanted she blamed me for being a hateful sod like him--suddenly, I was 'his' child--the monster. A few years later when I asked to visit him again, I was told, "No. I have legal guardianship and you will do as I say and that is final." So I continued to live with my mother who constantly berated me for being like 'him'.
She refused to help me get the education I longed for because 'he' should pay.
He refused to pay because I lived with 'her' and 'him'.
Eventually, I got sick of them both. To this day, my allegiance lies with my stepfather--he was the nicest person who gave me the most. Thankfully, they're all dead. I don't miss them. I forgive them, but don't wish them back. No thank you. I loved my parents-in-law far more than my own.
I believe I'll see my parents in eternity where issues are resolved and earthly problems no longer have significance.
What did I learn from their troubles?
*Memories are created by people. So, be sure to create good ones so that your family remembers you well.
*Speak kindly.
*Wear the shoes of peace.
*Kindness is better than hate.
*The best gift parents can give children? The parents must love each other. This provides a safe environment for visiting grandchildren.
Needless to say, both my parents got minimal visits with grandchildren--I simply didn't trust them. If they couldn't be nice to me--how could I trust them with my kids? I couldn't.

WOW! You have a story that needs to be told. Others in a similar situation need to hear it. They can learn from it. I appreciate your review.

I connect with Anderson's plight with his wife. She's clearly a gold-digger party girl whose coasted her way through life with her looks. I have little respect for those people, and very much want her world to crumble. Great work creating her character. Other stuff is good, nice middle ground with other characters and plot. I just found Pat more interesting.

Hi, Barbara;
thank you for sharing this next installment of the story. I was happy to learn more about the elusive 'Patricia.' I wish I could have to figure out how to live on only thirty-two-thousand dollars a month!

A nit: 'Emily and I are on the way to the park?" Anderson's fingers rapped on the desk. (Was the last statement a question?)

Looking forward to more,

~patty~

Interesting read. I enjoyed it and am definitely interested in reading some more. So many German shepherds though. Reminds me of one that lived next door to us many years ago. He used to jump over the fence and do his business in our back garden, and his dog did too :)

Oh my!!!! I had a Great Pyrenees who used to jump our six foot fence to visit our neighbors grey hounds who were in heat. We finally had him neutered. Couldn't earlier because he tested positive for heart worm. He was a stray who found us. Thank you for the kind review.

Thirty grand a month I'm sure tax free. Oh the ways of a way- fairing person. Another good one Barbara. I see you still make things happen.
