Super job on this ducky story, Bill. I like the premise of the mom and daughter. Too bad you couldn't have entered this one in a contest. Humorous and interesting. Marilyn

Ha ha....this is so mean, I love it. 'Obviously for contrast.' I'll have to remember that. Wish I had six stars for this delightful bit of wit. Blessings....

This is such a cute poem, Bill, I laughed at: "Her daughter, poor thing, came too/ Obviously, for contrast" lol You write cute little animal stories:)) ~Kerry

Hi, Bill;
I love your duck poems. This one did not disappoint. Your contrasting remarks between the two ducks works well within the lines of this piece. Looking forward to more,

~patty~

This speaks the duck being late in other job doing dressing job for the family came up swimming but her daughter followed her for a contrast, a childlike innocence for pride feeling; I liked.

Lol! Did the poem or picture come first? That's some overfeathered duck! I think the daughter's attire is much more appealing. I never saw a name like "dalphinea" but it reminds me of Dulcinea.

haha Bill, this is funny. But there are times when it is true. I know some women do upstage their daughter's for reasons known only to them. They seem to want to be better for all the wrong reasons. Your picture is perfect. Your few lines tell a great little 'story.' Thanks for sharing. Jan
