It's so hard to say so much in such a few words, but you've nailed it here, mate, I feel.
I met my princess online and I am one of the lucky ones because it's worked out beautifully. Not everyone is so lucky and it can be a scary exercise for sure.

No, no, no...don't do it, ha ha. In my day...80's....we had 'pen pals.' Seemed safe enough. Until one day one of mine showed up, from Maine...with a real, big, wolf. It was beautiful. He wasn't. He was ANNOYING. Don't do it!! But...if you do, write about it, ha ha.....blessings...

The quandary of internet dating. It's a boondoggle. I think the old fashioned way of meeting people face-to-face is best, but I do know couples who have met on line and married. I think you've expressed yourself well here. Marilyn

A 25-word poem is not an easy thing to manage. Looking at this, I don't see one single word that feels forced or out of place. I like the rhymes. The first two lines read like the start of a historical sonnet. Then you swing to the modern just two lines later. Very slick. I like it!
