Because we'd die of exhaustion otherwise, LOL! But yes, they are the best times, aren't they? Very cute 1-6-1 with excellent artwork, message, and visual display.

Know what you mean. Had grandsons during summer vacation. Fun but exhausting! Thanks for reviewing!

It certainly seems that way, doesn't it, Anonymous Poet?
Children grow up far too quickly in this day and age.
Your 1-6-1 conveys a message many of us can relate to.
I wish you well in the contest.

Thank you, Dean. Tempus fugit . And the older we get, time flies even faster!

Hi, I enjoyed reading your nostalgic verse:
Why
do childhood years fly by?
Sigh
This was a tough challenge to meet, but I think you did a good job with it.
Best wishes.

A very well-written 1-6-1 poem. Childhood years go by so quicklyvit feels like a dream. Our children's years seem to fly even faster by and before we know they have children of their own.

So very quickly too! Seems like just yesterday my son was a baby, now he's 35. Oh, to have the time back! Lovely entry, blessings....

I don't care much for the briefer forms since one doesn't have enough to do anything with. But you did a good one here. Love the pic. Good luck in the contest.

It was a challenge to create something that made sense. I don't particularly care for the short ones either. Thank you taking the time to read and review.

I like how you captured that enormous feeling of regret in those few words. Wonderfully done. ........................................................B.B. Rose

This is a very well written 1-6-1 poem you have penned for the contest. I love the art work of the small child and the very good wording. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Excellent 1-6-1 form that describes the childhood years going by fast. As an adult, one sees the children in the family grow up fast. Excellent theme for a poem that many can relate to.
