Your poem is full of fall images, looks toward winter and back to the last gasps of summer (barbecues). You cover the effects on flora, fauna and humankind in you inimitable poetic style. Good job!

a really fine combination of imagery and picturesque words and phrases

I really like the picture chosen as it truly frames the scene you write about. Where I live, though, it is illegal to burn leaves.
Nice personification of Jack Frost as an artist.
All your rhymes are well chosen.
And as your title reminds us on this holiday weekend, there's "still time" to enjoy the outdoors.

    Sadly, leaf burning is no longer allowed in our area either. I miss that pungent smell of fall. Thanks you for your read and your comments.

Excellent descriptive imagery of autumn
and fine rhymes in threes
