The picture is great for this. I would suggest changing the background color to black and the font to white, but either way is fine. The story in this poem is good and told nicely. The rhymes are great. Good luck in the contest!

That is one fun and funny poem. I have had similar, though not identical, occasions and my wife and I still laugh about them.
Really nice and believable rhythm and rhymes. Nice use of the word "weather" in last line. Listening to it, it could be either weather or whether.
