Horses like stable mates. I have heard about one having a chicken. The most popular is a dog. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

This is a good start. You have succinctly described your long-standing affection for dogs and horses with your early experiences. One more line with six syllables and you will have a completed nonet poem. Best wishes.
