hooray for old fashioned. and dinosaurs.
Yon is a good word, short and precise - worth bringing back to life.
well, I just looked it up on Google and it's not so precise. There are several meanings. Ones says it means "that" or "there"; another says it means "he" or "she" - I don't get that one. Another, yonder.
At any rate, it's a good word and a good poem.

Very cute! I like "yon" also as it works well for a monosyllable in a number of poems. I don't think it makes you a dinosaur but a poet. I just always thought of it as a shorter form of yonder.

Funny it made me think immediately of over yonder, and when I looked up the definition, yonder was used to describe Yon. Nice job!

Middle English too which is so much more poetic than modern wordage.

Yes, yon is a good one, and like you say,
one word that don't fit in any meanings for
Twitter and Facebook. I was thinking of
saving the word I got from my Mum - deuce -
but my Grandmum had an even better one -
