When romantic love is absent, your heart can indeed feel like an empty chasm. Yet, if there is someone whose manner toward you has been both loving and loveworthy, then it is quite normal to daydream about that person and the possibilities, whether or not reality ever will permit them to come true.
It took me more than three times as many words to say that as you needed in this delightful little verse. Superb, and beautifully illustrated with that dreamy image.

This speaks about chasm -- deep, deep within the heart, the tender love that filled the lover's heart has lost in a daydream, a loss of love has broken heart; I liked.
