Today is the big day for the "Eclipse." It starts in Oregon, so I wonder if you will be able to see any of it? I live just a few miles from 2 towns that will be directly in the path for a total eclipse, starting around 1 PM today. It should really be something to see.

Thank you, for your excellent review, I appreciate it. Yes, the short forms of poetry are my favorite. Such as the 5-7-5's, Senryu and Haiku. They don't require a lot of thought like the long rhyming stanza poems. There's a site that I use for checking the syllable count in words I use in this type of short poetry, it's "howmanysyllables.com." It's a big help to me, give it a try...Bill

I love the line "autumn strip show". It makes me laugh but it is so true, Autumn does put on a strip show. Excellent haiku that creates a scene of nature, yet also brings out emotions in the reader.
