This poem seems odd in that how could a guy so sensitive mess up so badly? What did he do? Something more concrete like that would have made it more interesting IMHO.

Such a sad and tragic poem. It would seem that the key should have been a most prized possession - and it should have been safeguarded. I think you express the sorrow of losing it well.

Interesting approach with this contest. Although the key to one's heart is an obvious choice for this contest, your poem brought originality on the subject.

The metaphorical implication here expressed a lot emotion, which included regret. I felt this could almost be a song. I loved the process of the short story here. The key was like a gift. And, sometimes gifts, when taken for granted, can get lost. I enjoyed this piece. Thank you

Excellent weaving of words. A key unlocks physical doors and metaphorical doors. Your poem is easy to understand, has great flow, and a universal theme. I can see this happening, so it tells a story, as well. Great job.
