Hi Bill. It's wonderful and you do make me laugh as always. Yes I can imagine it all too vividly. I hate spiders, although I do realise they do some good work. I loved your poem with so great imagery. All the best. Ulla:))

While it cannot be argued that spiders serve a good cause in that they dispose of some other pests. Just try that argument on a wife, girlfriend or daughter who just finished freaking out at the very sight of an eight legged monster who was spied from across the room. When they order you to get rid of it, that is exactly what you had better do.

Hi Bill. I'm enjoying your spider series. I think you're getting really into it and the poems are better and better, very amusing as you progress. Poor Arachnid Rex (great name). Poor guy! Cough, choke! There is fantastic alliteration of "w" in this line: "his webbed world would wither now"

Bill, This is a very cute poem about the pesky spider. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery. I am not too fond of spiders of any kind. They make me itch! lol Blessings, Teri

Poor Rex. He was only doing his job. I know a lot of people don't like spiders. I don't, either, when they get on me, but I usually leave webs alone. The intricacy of such a beautiful thing is hard to wipe out.

No, my house isn't filled with spider webs. I meant outdoors, of courses. I do remove the live spider, if possible, to the outside.

Thanks, da. I am sure spiders would do the same if our roles were reversed.

A pleasant and entertaining read. I enjoyed the witty personification of the spider, and what, if spiders were people, they would be concerned about "the cloud of death."

Your piece exhibited a smooth rhythmic flow, which made the read from start to finish an inviting read.

A very well-written pair of prankas about spider world. Spiders are actually our friends but we constantly wipe their webs away that they use to catch flies and other small insects.

Creepy, Bill. I don't like spiders. Well, who does?

Your poem was well-written, and you have utilized many poetic devices -- alliteration, personification, internal rhymes and imagery.

There is a tongue twister in this line "webbed world would wither now."

Impressive!
