Hello again: I'm really loving your poetry. I really love your style. Your poetry speaks to the Poet that I am. It is soulful and deep, strong and full of wisdom. You do write the winning poems. I hope you do very well in this contest. This poem is wise and full of imagery, another great one.

Hi Kazzawin. What a clever write! I liked the rhyming scheme of course but there's wisdom in these words too. Funny you know, but I was sure I heard some screaming the other day. Was that you? lol. Great write. xoxo Kiwi

This is a well written poem with good flow and rhyme. The illustration by Liilia
is perfect accompaniment. A fine entry for the contest and I wish you much
luck in it. Marilyn

I enjoyed the rhyming and flow of this poem as well as the eerie tale it told. Stories about evil twins and doppelgängers always intrigue me. This is a great contest entry. i wish you the best of luck.

A very well-written poem. What we see in the mirror is the naked truth. We cannot hide anything from the mirror and we can seevwith our own eyes, time has got the better ifvus at the end.

This poem, Through the Looking Glass, tells a bizarre tale that shows a person on the verge of a strange fear that has overtaken him/her. The other idea is that there's a haunting going on. Nice poetic form.

Thank you for your comment and kind review. You're right. I took the inspiration from a girl I knew who had a real fear of mirrors after seeing someone standing behind her in the mirror when she was a child : )

Love your poem and the moral strikes home. I had such an experience as a child
of 15 . I still can't write about it. So thank you for putting words to my feelings.
The Magic Mirror was the name then of a hairdressers on Hollywood Blvd.
Some day i will explain.

Ooh....sounds very spooky! I have always had a thing about mirrors myself and ever since I've written this I've been a little wary. Sounds daft really but maybe you would understand!
Thank you so much for taking the time and for your kind words. Truly appreciated : )

Wow! A powerful message for all of us. The imagery is chilling and excellent in its effect on this reader. This is much to ponder, facing both sides of ourselves is scary and all too real. The story you told was riveting and kept me reading, to see where you were going. Very well done, and a difficult poem to write, I would imagine. Thanks for sharing and don't stop looking in that mirror. You might surprise yourself in what you see.
Take care, Jesse

Good poem. I love the rhyme, the beat, and your words. It's awesome.

My favorite stanza:
I ran outside with abject fear
I couldn't bear to be that near,
To sights that soon disturbed my sleep.
What secrets did this mirror keep?
