Oh my goodness. This is such a powerful story poem about God. I wish I had a dozen sixes to give you. Congratulations on winning this contest. You have fine metered lilting lines and terrific abcb rhyme scheme with smooth rhyme choices. It is the message in this poem that is so outstanding and uplifting. This poem is a perfect example of strong faith. You reach out to your readers and let them know that everything is okay when we pray to God. You represent God so well in this poem. Amazing!

Thank you Joy for this wonderful review. I am so pleased that this resonated with you. I wrote this when I was having a particularly difficult time and I felt God's comforting arms around me. It was like I was a little girl again and could just crawl up on his lap and feel his love.

Hello Janet,
I can see why your poem about God received the first prize.. Your authors notes are so emotional -
literally felt God's arms around me, holding me. It's a feeling I continue to go back to whenever I feel that need for the special love that only a father can supply.
