Jane's entry as well as her plot was quite a surprise! I guess what she did was justified. Enjoyed the flow of your story but somehow didn't expect it to end so soon :) It was really interesting! Great job. Regards.

Hi Leena; thank you so much for reading this saga. At some point, I will go back and revisit these characters and make it into a novel. There is a great deal more to explore than I could do in a five part series.

I appreciate your kind review and supportive remarks,

Good morning, Patty

Excellent continuation and conclusion. I admit I didn't see that coming. The interactions between family members (especially Caressa and Sylvia) over the appearance of their mother was well played. Enjoyed.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Hi Ray; I'm glad you enjoyed the story. This was one of my favorite writes, and I'm sorry to put the characters away for awhile. I think I will work on expanding this into a full book. There is so much more to explore about this dysfunctional family.

Your shining sixth star made my day - and that's great for a Monday morning,

Oh, Patty, you had pity on the poor old lady. Yay. I was worried from the start--as you know--but this was a pleasant surprise.

I know siblings who fight tooth and nail over inheritances, but I guess this disbursing of checks easily shut down all avenues of recourse.

Funny, sad, gripping tale. I love this ending.

Hi Marla; thank you so much for the lovely review on this last part of the story. The ending came as a complete surprise to me, too. When I sat down to write, I had a different vision in my head, but as things developed on the page, the characters turned on me!

I think I purposely put an end to any squabbling over the inheritances -- can you imagine what this family would have done to each other?

Hi, Patty!
This was a great story. I think it was exceptionally well-thought out. The end took me by surprise--just loved it!

Suggestions:

but then Mother never did do things any other way.
but then Mother never did things any other way.

She did manage everything for me
She managed everything for me

Everything left in my estate will go to continue to support me until I do die,

*This was a great ending! ...
She pretended to think about it, and then smiled at him. "After all these years and all this madness, I don't think I can live without you."

Hi Nicole; I'm so glad you enjoyed the story through the surprise ending. Thank you for your suggestions for changes. I did go and make the edits - you certainly know how to make something smoother to read.

Thank you for your continuing support as I worked on this project - now to think up another story that will thrill readers as this one did,

Now that was a surprise ending Patty. I loved it. You did a great job with this chapter. I was engaged throughout. I like the details you included & could 'see' many compilations of people I have known through the years.

It is sad to think that this could happen in real life. Your characters wee believable & the outcome served each one perfectly.

Thanks for sharing. Take care. Jan

Hi Jan; I'm so glad you enjoyed this conclusion to the tale. I tried to make sure I tied up the loose ends, but since I feel there is so much more to the story, I will be turning this into a novel where I can explore the complexities of each character and fill in the details of the past.

Thank you so much for the excellent review,

Patty, there were a lot going on with that family and to learn that Jane lived, made the story. It was a shocker. The old lady came forward with her own brand of right and wrong and to say goodbye to the family her way.

Great finish to this story about this very dysfunctional family Patty. Great dynamics between these ugly sisters and loved what Jane had to say. Very well done with this,
cheers,

Hi Valda; I'm so glad you enjoyed the end of the saga. This dysfunctional family was very loosely based on my in-laws, and I wrote the ending I would love to see in real life!

I appreciate your wonderful support and encouragement. The six stars make me smile,

That was a lovely story, and the ending was perfect. The sisters got exactly what they deserved. I would have loved to hear their reactions if they know what Kathy had inherited. I felt sorry for the mother in the end, but she wasn't completely blameless. This was a superb story, Patty, and I really enjoyed reading it. Perfect ending. Now to go and butter up my mother-in-law!! LOL. :) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra; I'm so glad you liked the way things turned out. I was afraid if the sisters were to find out how much Kathy got in her envelope, I would have had to write a true cat fight!

Your continuing support of me while I wrote this saga was very encouraging, and I greatly appreciate you and your reviews.

The shining six stars are wonderful, and I'm truly honored,

Hello, Patty,

I like the conclusion. You tight up all the ends nicely. So... Jane was alive, I felt sorry for Agnes; she's probably depressed and I know what that is like, but the rest of them got what they deserved.

OH what a great story. If FS allows another six you have it. This story deserves so much more than stars it's a true slice of a life that is so very true, so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, the old lady had her final win. Good for her and great from you. Sincerely Anne.

Hi Anne; thank you so much for the very positive review. It gave me great pleasure to put the sisters in their place and have Kathy come out the big winner. I think the mother will enjoy her world cruise and it appears she has given up on ever having the loving family gathered around her.

I appreciate your praise of the story - its the way I would want things to turn out if this were my family,
