Wow, these people are almost as bad as my family! That takes some writing skill to pull off! I'm waiting on the next part. Can't wait to see... but I have a sickening feeling about it.

Hi Marla; I'm so glad you are reading along with this saga. I'm so sorry to hear about your family - these people seem especially bad. The conclusion should be posted this weekend.

Hi Patty. Well I'm in no matter the chapters lol. You are telling a great story. Those sisters! Man! I'm glad you are giving Kathy some ammunition to fight back with that doesn't take away from who she is. Wonderful! xoxo Kiwi

I didn't know you knew my family--this is exactly how they treat me and why I have cut ties with them. A very well written story--sorry I missed the first parts. Thank you for the summary, my friend~Debbie

Hi Patty. Your writing is clear in describing this complicated family story. My problem is with the premise. I don't know anyone who actually behaves like this. Of course it is fiction, so there is broad range there. Maybe I have just been blessed with great relatives and in-laws.

Just as an aside, as Kathy recalls the argument with Jane--the kids were picked up without permission. I know this is a vehicle for the story, but schools have a list of approved people to pick up kids and if someone is not on the list the child will not be released to that person.

I think you did a very good job describing the scene, good detail as the event progresses and in introducing the various characters. You ended this chapter well, leaving the reader with a cliffhanger. Always a good device in a story. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn; thank you so much for your continuing support with this saga. I am so thankful you and so many others have continued to read and review.

Believe it or not - the mother-in-law was listed as an approved person. The problem was she would pick up the children anytime she wanted to - without Kathy's permission.

The conclusion should be posted sometime this weekend,

Hi Patty. I know that some families are totally off the charts. I'm grateful mine was never one of them. I agree that no one should every pick up kids unless the parents are unavailable and/or give permission.

This is a very well written chapter you have penned. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery with your words. You used very good dialogue also. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. Blessings, Teri

Hi Teri; I'm so glad you continue to read the story. This saga has been so much fun to write! I will be sorry to post the conclusion, but I truly think I will turn it into a much longer story in a novel at some point in the future - it just has so much left to explore!

Oh dear, you have taken us to the brink of explosion and left us hanging in this thriller of a story. wondering why all the secrecy and where it is going. No problems noted and an excellent piece of writing

What a horrid family. Makes me glad I was an only child of only parents, Every time I have married it's been to a man from a large family, so of course I get trundled along to Christmas parties and any other function. How I hate the behind the hand sarcasm, and the false smiles. Have fun. Sincerely Anne.

Hi Anne; thank you for the review and for sharing your own family foibles. Isn't it horrible that no one is who they seem to be, and everyone has their own agenda? This has been a fun write, and I will hate to see it come to an end in the next part, but it is time to reveal the final secrets,

, Caressa turned and greeted their children. (You do mean Kathy here, right?)
I feel you overused the word happy in the bathroom. I would try substituting another word occasionally. Otherwise, an excellent read as usual. I have a feeling what's coming, but I'll wait to find out. Those sisters really are capital Bs. LOL

Hi there; thank you so much for continuing to follow the story. I appreciate your thorough and concise review. I will go back and rework the 'bathroom scene.' I do need to do something about all the 'happy's.'

The conclusion will be posted by tomorrow evening (Saturday.)

Toxic is the best way to describe those miserable people.

I enjoyed reading this chapter, Patty. I really like the way Kathy stood her ground & told them just what she thought. I liked the flashback story too.

You did a great job. I can't wait for the next installment. Jan
