A very well-written poem, we live in a life with lght and darkness. When we can see the shadows there are always a light source behind it. Without any light we will not see any shadows

Good morning estory. I like this poem. The repetition of the word shadows brings with it a finding of my own shadows. I grasped at your different descriptions and in that grasp, I thought of my shadows of yesterday, shadows of the past and the overshadowing by other things. You covered a large field so your poem was very thorough and unique...good read

Thanks for the great review and for supporting this piece. I think you got exactly what I was trying to do. We live in a world of shadows, shadows of the past, shadows of things to come, adversity, threats; we have to pick our way between them every day. estory

This is a very interesting poem about shadows. It is so neat because I talked to Greyson, our three year old grandson, about shadows. He was shown his shadow is his little hand. Very good descriptive wording and imagery. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. Blessings, Teri

This speaks just a reminder that shadow in different nature, shades, colours and states watch, follow us everywhere we go, remain or exist; I liked the implication.

The ghosts of the past...you have portrayed it pretty well through your verse. I guess its the shadow that lurks in the mind on days when one feels low... Good job. Best wishes.

Hi estory; thank you for sharing this well penned poem about the shadows that follow us wherever we go. The thing about shadows is they need some kind of light to bring them to life. Is it the light of reason? Or is it the light of our understanding?
Well done,
~patty~

Thanks for the great review and for enjoying this poem. In this piece, the shadows are metaphors for the things that haunt us, the ghosts of the past, the forbodings of the future, the uncertainties and the threats we face every day, that follow us around, that we bring along with us, like our shadows. estory
