It's luck in life that I've been blessed with frogbook! What a splendid thing, Luck! Let's me get through the grisliest of things with some god- given strength and not go mad, then pop out again bright as a daisy and THEN, mad as can be. But then it's called 'joy' and 'now she's happeee!'. Life's so strange from where I stand. And quite suddenly, I'm 70! WTF! :)

This free verse poem was an excellent read. It flowed very nicely. Comprehensible and very professionally written. The emotional reflections are insightful and impressive. Well chosen words throughout.
The descriptive words created wonderful impressions.
Good luck in the contest

Mitchell I really appreciate your specific feedback. I'm new here and new to 'creative writing''. I have no idea where these words 'come from' . They just seem to come out of nowhere and I can't just 'sit down and 'write one!'. I 'wanna write!' I cry to my gods, goddesses and fairies, whoever's listening that might help me, you know. Thanks again, Anita.

A very well-written free verse poem about jealousy. When someone doesn't give a reason to be jealous it is a different scenario. Unfortunately, some people get some devilish pleasure in making their partner jealous, just to test how much they can take before the break.

Thank you Sandra du Plessis for your generous rating and comment on my poem. Jealousy is a nasty emotion indeed and wreaks havoc wherever She travels with her entourage of dysfunctional goblins. Thanks again A

Wonderfully written ... and the pain!!! so prominent in the verse!! Envy in my opinion is the worst feeling of all! I believe hatred is better and easier to deal with... Great choice of image too..Best wishes

LEENA, thank you for reading and giving your feedback. Most encouraging to a new member. I believe Envy is one of Jealousy's nasty little disciples and hatred the consequence she so enjoys to see from her work. Thus the 'shadenfreude'.

thank you for sharing your free verse on jealousy. I love the picture you chose to go with the post.

Your words flow well and your author's notes helped to make the hidden anger more understandable.

One suggestion I might make; use the advanced editor so you can enhance the font and change the background color - maybe to green; it gives you the opportunity to mix a custom color and you might be able to match the green in the picture. (Its a lovely effect I use often.)

Thanks for your comments patty. The feedback for a newbie is so important. I'm 70 and your suggestions about fonts and colours I'd love to do but I struggled to even get that pic up to accompany my poem. I had my first PC 20 years ago and had wonderful programs on it that would do all that stuff, it was an Apple that looked like a jelly bean with it's hard drive built in. when it died I still had a good word processor. Then got sick. then new PC. Now new Laptop and have not used computer for years. Don't know my way around. Gotta learn all over again. Your suggestions sound exactly like the things I like to do but it will take some time.
    Thanks again.

My friend, this is probably the best free verse poem I have read while being a member on here! I love your style and it reminds me of how I write. We are the type of writers that step out of the box and go beyond. Awesome job and good luck in the contest!

Elijah, my heart is beating with delight as I read your encouraging words. Thank you fellow traveller. I haven't shared these poems with anyone and I feel a need now to share some of my life's experiences somehow, somewhere. There are tales to be told and shared with others after a long time in silence. Thanks again.

Wow what a hard life you have experienced, you've been able to express it very succinctly in your poem which flowed well with good rhythm. My sister was four when I was born and she was always jealous of me causing her to treat me quite badly, she became a Christian but sometimes even now her jealously seeps out. It's an awful burden you describe it well. MaggieF

Thanks for your comments Maggie. Having experienced it as the receiver I'm glad you can relate to what I have written. That's a real encouragement to me. I'm sad for you, I know how it is to be where you are. My brother is older than me and to this day he for some unknown reason is jealous of me. Join the club fellow traveller.

I now what you mean by some reason or other, my sister was more popular and prettier than me and yet....Maggie

Yes Jealousy wreaks havoc wherever she goes. It's terrible to experience and heartbreaking to watch others express is needlessly.
