Good for you! I've not heard of this type of ride before, but was tickled that you got on Pegasus and had the ride of your life and showed them all you could do it. Great job. A fun read. Much luck in the contest with this fine entry. Marilyn

Dear Marilyn, thank you for your review and the awesome SIX stars.I tied for second in the contest with another two entrants.(earning a munificent 2.90) so I was quite pleased. This was fun to write and to remember that night. It was a talking point in the family for years afterwards. Oddly though, although it wasn't all that hard a ride to master no-one else in my family ever tried it. Not even my brother Barry when he grew into a strong, teenager. thanks again cheers Cass

Dear Mystery Writer,

This piece confused me a little. I understood about the ride and you feeling powerful and in-control and that you had 'shown up' your tormentor. But I didn't really get that he had goaded you too badly to begin with. If you ARE the older, bigger sister, why did that offend you so much? Maybe something is left off or there's something I didn't get...?

This was a good write about your adventure, but just left me a bit puzzled. Thanks!

Dear Robyn, thank you for your review and the five stars. The insult lay in the word "big". I was always told I was going to be "big like Auntie Ruth" who was about 16 stone and was employed in an old folks home as the head laundry worker. To say "big" in the same sentence as my name was provocation unmistakable. Paul liked doing things like that especially after I had told him to keep his lecherous hands to himself, but didn't tell my sister. If I had done he would have put on his "innocent" act and laughed it off. Nasty piece of work , sadly his son was much the same. cheers Cass

There is nothing like family for fun. It's the right recipe. You are challenged. You learn many things, like how to deal with oppositions. You learn what others say does no have the value once thought. In the end, a new you has come into view.

Dear Friend, Thank you for your review and the five stars.Yes, you're right, a new me was born that night, one who found the courage to fling aside fear and try something different. My brother-in-law didn't try his games on me after that. He wasn't sure just what I might do in response. His wife and my mother gave him such a telling off for being too smart for his own good, but he still perved on my bare legs when I wore my netball uniform. Some people never learn. cheers Cass
