Hi

The sentiment and flow of your piece is fine. Actually the sentiment, word choice and phrasing is really excellent.

However, though you have twelve lines as required, there's another requirement of the form you've over looked.

Each line has to have one more syllable than the one before it. So, line one is a single syllable, line two is 2 syllables, line three is 3, four is 4 all the way up to line twelve which is 12 syllables. You have plenty of time to fix this, so no panic.
Your rhymes are fine, so no worries there.
I'll be glad to raise your rating when you fix it, let me know.
This is a strong entry, I hope you take time to fix. I think you'll have no problem.
Good luck in the contest. mike

Mike, thank you for the thoughtful heads-up. It would have been embarrassing if I heard it from The Committee, and it caused another controversial deadline extension. Whew!

Wow. It's even better now. No worries. I have a crew that follows me around telling me which rules I ignored when I enter contests. LOL
    Great work. mike

You are very generous. Thanks again, Mike.

PS - Does your crew hire out?

thank you so much for sharing your Duodec-liner poem. You did a great job with this new poetic form. There is a cohesive story within the lines of your piece, and the reader has a great deal to think about. Good luck in the contest,
~patty~
