Thank you for describing how you feel when visiting the vast ocean and for capitalizing "Mother's" so that we knew it referred to nature. I also appreciate learning about another category of senryu. Cheers- Joan

Cheers, Gypsy;
-I found myself humbled by this Senryu piece of poetry. As I realize the smallest of all beings and things Are essential And very important in our lives as they are in lives of everyone. This existentialist a piece of poetry goes beyond the simple self and expands on the horizons of other beings and other world no matter how small they are.
-I congratulate you for sharing and posting this poem and take care and have a good one especially with all those that you care for and love.

Combining the words with the picture,
I conjure up some peaceful serenity,
like sunset on a deserted beach or
meditating with sitar music in the background.
(I love music by the late Ravi Shankar and his daughter Anoushkar)
Soothing altogether.

Yes, we do feel small indeed when compared to the ocean's power, or the mountain heights. We certainly are essential. The best of humans care for nature's critters. We have to bow to nature's great power. We are miniscule in the scheme of things and realize that if we're confronted with a storm or landslide, whatever. Interesting work. judi

thank you for sharing this lovely haiku. The presentation of this piece is beautiful. Your words speak to the little bits of nature that blend together for the glory of Mother Nature. While you have certainly met the syllable count limitations, you have made the most of the ones you used.

Hi dear friend, I think this write is spot on, I felt like this spoke to me on a personal level I hold great respect for MotherEarth, and I agree with every living things a blade of grass to spiders to all forms of animal life, sad isn't it that we people are the only ones that kill for killings sake animals kill to survive. I often ask myself why MotherEarth just doesn't just drown us all and start again.this write took me back to my own beliefs which we all need reminding now and again. So thank you for your words of wisdom

Gypsy, I have always felt that mother nature plays a big part of our daily lives. I am a prime example of this. How the full moon pulls my emotional state of mind in one direction, while my heart stays strong in it's strength to keep me on my path that my Savior has set forth for me at birth. This senryu really got me to thinking. Great piece of writing my friend,,,,,,,,Jim
