The voters seemed to decide to promote a person who said the things that they wanted to hear. It became okay to spew hatred and false promises. This became acceptable because many believed this bombastic demeanor was what leadership looked like instead of consideration and decorum.

Nicely stated, if one dislikes Trump as I suppose you do. I did not vote for him, but in my opinion, Clinton would have been a travesty. To answer your question, "What has the electoral college wrought?" It has wrought the lesser of two evils. But that is only because both parties nominated the worst person possible.

Thanks for your read and your review. Appreciate it. It is wonderful that in this world, thus far, we do not have to agree and yet are free to express our opinions. I don't agree that Trump was the lesser of two evils. He is just one big evil with little concern for the environment, proper medical care for the common people and is placing a family members to establish a Romanoff-like dynasty with his daughter and son-in-law.
