This work has reached the exceptional level

I love this sometimes dialouge and this is my favourite of all, "Am I just a memory

HIM (SPOKEN): Sometimes"
Really a great entry to the contest. Have a great day. Namaskaram

    Glad you enjoyed these lyrics.

Now that the contest is over, I can respond to the reviews I received.

In many breakups, isn't "sometimes" the way both people often feel?

    That tinge of regret.

    Also, appreciate the six stars!

The dude in your artwork looks a lot like Willie Nelson, Anonymous Poet/lyricist.
I enjoyed this. It's touchingly sentimental and sublimely sarcastic (a bit), but sweet.
Sometimes you simply can't get over the pain someone's caused you to take another chance.
Believe me, I know...

She tears at the label on the bottle in her hand and wonders

She tears?

I liked the song with the spoken parts...I think it would make a good video with the song. Nicely done..Good luck!

Willie's passing will sorely be missed by those of us who grew up "country." I like this very much. And, I knew it had nothing to do with drink. But, I'm still puzzled by what they wanted to share...a memory, a night together, or a special time?

Willie's passing? Now, that would be news.

He is quite alive and well, and actually will turn 84 on Saturday.

Where did you pick up he passed?

This is a very interesting format -- kinda like a country-western opera/musical. I like the dialog as songs sung back and forth. Thanks also for the info on Willie Nelson and Tigger.

this was a lovely song - I could see it being acted out clear as day. Your characters can be either old or young - but its evident the love they once had is hanging on in their memories. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest,

    Glad you enjoyed these lyrics.

Doesn't that often occur with a breakup?

A small part still hangs on even though you know it is over.

A very well-written poem/song between a man and his guitar, that have an unbreakable connection. The one cannot continue with the other, they both need one another.

It's an excellent performance piece. You have written a very good contest entry. It should do well. It meets all of the requirements and then some.

Writing Country music has always been my preferred genre, although as a Freelance Writer, I do dabble in other formats as well.

But, this is the way that it must always remain
Losing you has brought me too much pain
We can't go back, undo what has been done
Still, I wish there was a way we could share one

(pause) sometimes
I loved this poem about Willie and also the info about Trigger. So clever.Well done. Kindest regards Meia x

Poem not about Willie and Trigger.

It is about the regret often times felt after a relationship has broken up.

    Appreciate the review.

This is such a sad song. They seem to really still love each other and both afraid getting back together would end the same way. It seems like in the end they are thinking of a one night stand for old time sake or a final goodbye.

Good luck in the contest. This should do well.

Keep writing
