Wonderful! This makes me think of all the unfinished stories and flashes of imagination that need to be tied down with some real work. The image I get is a hurricane of pictures and the writer wrestling one down.

Thank you for dropping in again so soon, especially since I am not promoting anything at the moment. I only post once or twice a month. I get to the site sporadically because life is too crazy right now. An unexpected review is always a delightful surprise.
I am glad you could relate. I don't think I ever get writer's block. I think it is more writer's focus. There are so many ideas and no time to develop them all. I have to choose just one and push the others away. I am sure many writers have the same issue.
I like your imagery of the hurricane of pictures and wresting one idea down. A great poetic description and so aptly put.

This is so clever and cute. Love it. Anti-writer's block. I think for sure that's what I have. Lots to explore and say all the time. Great job. Marilyn

Thank you, Marilyn. I didn't even promote this one because I only had the bucks for the entry fee and I just joined as a lark. Later I thought maybe I should have put something about a mind's traffic jam. The 5-7-5 form is something that still baffles me. I am glad you could relate to the flood of ideas. Debi

It may deserve a re-post when you have the bucks. I'm sure everyone would get a kick out of it. Marilyn

Yes, focus sounds like a reasonable solution to writer's block. I like the imagery of ideas too numerous swirling around like dandelion seeds. Very fitting poem.

Oh, how I can relate to this short but powerful poem...I often have way too many writing ideas swirling around in my head all at once and they become jumbled, thus creating writer's block. I agree, we much snatch one idea and go with it...great contest entry
