This tells about poetic block, wordless state brings in disaster and poets find drought state when in addition muse lurks in shadows; poet's poverty of thoughts become evident.

I think anyone who writes prolifically and constantly feels this way from time to time.
You just have those days where your muse seems silent.
I never have that problem, although there are times I wish I did.
My muse awakens me at 3:00am asking, "So. Are you gonna write somethin' or not?!?"
He doesn't shut up until I do.
Good syllable count and your 5/7/5 is well presented.
Best wishes to you in the contest.

An awesome entry in this contest. Your 5-7-5 describes writers block perfectly. You know the words are there, but they hide themselves in your minds shadows. Wonderful! Blessings...

Yes, there are definitely seasons of "poetic drought!" But if the muse is "lurking," hopefully, she will comply and enter into the light and enlighten!

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about that big fear to encounter wordless days or nights, where there is no inspiration coming from no-where, the Muse seems to be on vacation.

Dear Mystery Writer,
I totally get it. I like the phrase 'wordless days or nights'. I can soooo relate. At least lately. Unfortunately. --sigh-- This is a great contender for the contest. Good luck!

I enjoyed reading your 5-7-5 poem on a "Writer's Block". You kept to the correct number of lines and syllables. No wonder you have Writers Block. Your typewriter is not keeping up with the times.
Best of luck.
