Wouldn't your last sentence end in a question mark?
Just checking.
This is an excellent piece of "drabble." I've been
reading several and what I love about yours is the
feeling of nostalgia. We can all relate to it. -Bill

I have only read a few Drabble Flash Fiction pieces and I like the way you communicated nostalgia in yours. Your appeal to our sense of smell is very effective. Thank you for added the vintage photograph as well. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

This is a very good short story you have penned. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery with the art work. It is so neat to hear or smell something and it brings back old memories. Great job. Teri

A very good entry. You should do well with this. It's hard to win a contest, but not at the least impossible. There are a lot of talented writers. It's fun to beat them.

There are certain smells from our childhood which we fondly remember. I can remember the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread and to this day just the thought of that smell can make my water. patricia

Getting the right school bag is important for young girls, even today. Backpacks must be the right color, the right brand, etc., for the girl to fit in with others, even in high school. Your mother was smart to realize how important it was for you to have a new one of your own. :)
I think you could have found a much nicer picture in Google images.

hI phyllis I agree with you but it is very difficult to find jpg, they all appear to be jpej and is not accepted in fanstory, I may change it Thanks so much for your honest review.

I use jpeg for fanstory. You can also change the letters to jpg if it doesn't work, since it's the same file type.

Here is a pic from google images that might work. THere are many others, especially if you look in cartoons.
REmember, JPEG is JPG, and both work for me on FS. If JPEG doesn't, just remove the E from its title.

A very well-written dribble flash fiction. I remember those little suitcases well and we played school every school holiday, the oldest was the teacher and the younger ones where the pupils. Lol.
