I enjoyed the humor in this contrasting the Agnes character and the replies from Mr. Darcy straight from Jane Austen's book. There is just one spacing problem with one of Mr. Darcy's quotes. Great entry!

The private dialogue you have described in this story is so cute. I can see the young man and his perhaps bride to be sitting and teasing each other on their wedding day. The sense of the dialogue and the picture you chose to together very well.

You did well meshing it together. :P Good luck in that contest. I don't know if I would give it a try--I don't know if I would find it fun, but maybe.
Have a good weekend and happy Easter!

Thank you for sharing your entry in the What did you say dialogue contest. You have managed to create a conversation between two legendary characters. He did say yes, and the wedding would take place. You did a good job with this. Good luck in the contest,

Writing dialog only can be very challenging indeed.
You tackle the issue well.
Should make an interesting entry into this contest.

I think you aren't supposed to add tags or names before/after the sentences spoken for this contest. The point is to let the dialogue be so good that it is clear at all times who is speaking.
You need to revamp, I think, if you have time. The subject is interesting, but there are rules. Go for it before time runs out!

I thought your writing was enjoyable. There were some light moments that brought smiles to this reader. Unable to comprehend Darcy final contribution of him "going away."

Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite classic books, we did the play at school and I will never forget it, 'Did he say yes' is so very appropriate as within the flowery language it's difficult to know the answer as the conversation is often indirect! A joy to read, love Dolly x

Well, I can only say that you did Pride and Prejudice proud!
You made the social mores of the time poignant,
clearly portraying the role of both women and men and their
ultimate goals in society.
Well done!
