Great poem with a twist at the end. Actually looking forward to the passing of winter soon! But it's only just begun. There are perks... hot chocolate by the fire. Writing poetry that no one reads... reviewing ones people do read. Well done!

Great visual June, I enjoy this time of the year as our winters are light here in south Texas. Thank you for the awesome review my friend.

I think this is a fantastic short piece. I can see why it won first place. Just six words with a beautiful picture to add a visual allows the words to catch the attention visually and mentally. I really do appreciate the play on words of the whole poem. Well done on this most enjoyable read. ~DD

This six-word poem, Condolences, has a half a dozen words that make a terrific statement about the terrific floral arrangements made for Old Man Winter's going off.

Excellent writing, it reminds us of rebirth. The death of winter is the birth of spring. Easy to read and understand, and wonderful theme. Breathtaking picture to go with your lovely words.

Spring's decorative bouquet adorns Winter's passing

Did winter die? Sorry, I could not resist... hehe.

Good job, you adhered to the contest rules nicely. The font is too dark to see, I would make it white.

LOL! That was the idea behind this piece. But like most bad guys they always re-appear .

A lovely evocative six words with a lovely accompanying picture. It certainly looks like a bouquet. I enjoyed the entry. Good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed this six word poem. I thought it was a clever use of the change between the seasons of winter to spring. Best of luck in the contest.

Take care,

'Condolences'- the title grabs the reader's attention.
This poem is short and sweet.
It only has 6 words but the message is received.
Great artwork: Two thumbs up!! The image is very beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your poem.
Good luck with your future writing!

In my opinion, one can never be wrong in writing about spring - well constructed in fluid movement - my only suggestion would be to change the word "adorns" to "heralds" - please don't be offended. The picture is a perfect complement to the poem...

Thank you Eve for the awesome review with a wonderful suggestion. Heralds would certainly work here as well.

You are very welcome, but the word adorns/deck means something entirely different than heralds/announce - please check your dictionary for the difference, and you'll understand the reason for my suggestion...

Well done six word poem creates a strong mental image and delivers an understandable and true message using very few words. Great job!
