A fascinating bit of upside down Australian history. I am most glad to hear of your conservative affiliations and political identity. But must importantly, your identity in Christ for this will always make the biggest difference in our present circumstances. Our kingdom is really above as we are just passing through but for a moment.
Always my nest to you and Louise,

Hi, Geoff. Uhh, I was born and brought up in Denmark and being a Scandinavian country, I believe we are much different from the beliefs in The States and as I now see of Australia. We're so much down to earth, and believe in the human being and the rights of being one. It has absolutely nothing to do with the religion and what beliefs anybody has. I've later learned I'm half American but it hasn't swayed me. My brother is a strong believer and he knows I'm not. Yet, we respect each other and love each other. When, I'm visiting I actually go to church with them. I know what you're saying. All best. Ulla:))

I guess you'd call me a liberal in the US. I'm all for gay marriage and abortion being legal. Legalize weed and move on. There are bigger things happening in our world. God will worry about who's had an abortion, why they had one. God will worry about who's married the same sex or not. I'm not here to be the judge. Politics is a sticky thing when you start throwing religion in on it and that's when you forget about the more important stuff going on in the world. Anyways, just my thoughts. I have to agree to disagree with a lot of people.

Enjoyed reading this and thanks for all the information. Sounds like your Democratic party there is a lot like ours here in the states. The democratic party here is a disgrace to humanity in my view. They are a worthless bunch wanting to get rich off the people. Thanks for sharing this my brother.

A very well-written informative piece about the politics in Australia, for me it is truly a very tangy toffee to swallow in our country because the leading party here consists of the majority uneducated voters that can be easily bribed.

First of all I was confused by the first Background line about a doctor in St Clair who was never referred to again.
But the rest of it is interesting to point out the differences to other people elsewhere in the world. It reads as rather factual, but I guess that is the point... it is not drama, although some of the events do have dramatic possibility.
I am an Aussie myself. My brother used to live in Penrith ... so true about that awful drinking 'culture' that is so very uncultured.

Thanks Lisa May the Background is the piece you don't understand I was encouraged to put up backgrounds to previous chapters, at the beginning. Thanks for the review. I put up a better photo set of Sir Henry I had than the one that was on before.
-
I lived in Canberra... there is a suburb there called Parkes.
-
Probably after Sir Henry I guess. I loved OLD Penrith in the Army and Airforce bases days and the Penrith Plaza being about a 20th of its size today. O came out here originally in 1977 then when I went back to Sydney in 82 I eventually met and married Louise and she wanted to live out this way right on the East Side of the now much larger City of Penrith.
-
My brother used to live in Leonay / Emu Plains several years ago. I know what you mean about Penrith Plaza... I'd get lost for sure.
-
Loved Leonay had a few clients there when I taught music in homes.

Very interesting. Learning about your country has merit. I see nothing wrong with this write and enjoyed learning more about you as an individual. I understand about being asked to run for office. I declined as well

Thank you for educating me on Australian political organizations! I would have never known - nor did I know that your PM was in danger on that terrible day. What a terrible time for a visit.
I totally agree that the change has to happen in each person's heart - and God is greater than all our politically charged craziness - His will be done.
(By they way, we do drive on the 'right' side of the road.)

Hehe yeah I know you drive on the RIGHT side hehe literally. Our now "come out" Gay swimmer Ian Thorpe just missed out getting killed on 911 as well he was going to go into WTC but for some reason changed his mind. Thanks for the great review.
-
So glad he did change his mind and that your PM was safe, too.

Thanks Anne lovely hearing from you. SOmeoe did not like the other title I had on this so I changed it. Have a ;look back through here. I had a suggestion to split a chapter so I put all the political stuff in here from the other place.

I struggle to understand the whole point of this story. What are you
trying to say in this piece? And since you never seem to mention this
individual who is pictured, why do you have him as the symbol of this
piece? What purpose does the background sentence have to do with the
rest of your piece? -bill

Hi friend. The guy in the picture is the father of Federation in Australia. My whole purpose of this was to illustrate the difference between the politics and political groups of our two countries if you yourself are from USA. Sorry if that was oblivious to you. Thanks anyway. I was encouraged to break down a larger chapter in my book so I removed the political stuff from that chapter and this was the result. I have had some good comments about what I did here so sorry if it confused. Glad you didn't mark me down for it! :D
