Janet, I really enjoy composing love and romance poetry because even though I've been divorced for the past twelve years, I still know the feelings. Not that I was *in love* with either ex wife, but I was in love, truly in love nearly 47 years ago. That lasted 8 months because Beth passes away from complications of ovarian cancer. I still love and always will.

Rhonda, thank you immensely for these six stars. I know only one way to compose love and romance poetry and that is straight from my heart. Some guys think their love poems are really good and they may be, but they lack a fire a soul and personality. Some day, I may write one of those and you will absolutely read the difference. Where I excellent with poetry, you my best friend, are excellent with writing some of the most excellent, intriguing and exciting stories ever. I love when your name pops up in my message box! I know that I am in for a treat!

Thank you, Jim! Yes, your poems smolder with fire, and I look forward to your work, as well. I know I will usually get to have a romantic spark to my day. Of course, there are a few where you have other emotions to share, but those are full of emotions as well.

Everything is great when one is in love. :) "Trust, honesty and belief in your partner" ... yes, a relationship has to have these ingredients in order to go the distance.

Though, I have been divorced from wife number 2 and being alone for the past 12 years, I still know what love and romance feels like. Everything that I compose comes straight from this heart of mine. I can never compose any less.

Gypsy, people tell me that I have a true romantic heart. I believe that I do unlike some guys on this who think they compose love and romantic poetry. Most of those poems lack heart, soul and personality. Just because it rhymes doesn't mean it is good.

You know Dove, I know no other way to compose, but straight from my heart. It was shattered a long time ago and I not experienced it since. But, I can write about love and romance because I felt these things once. That one time was so satisfying. Why it was shattered? Because we were both 21 and our first time in love and she passed away from complications of ovarian cancer. I knew about her cancer going in, but we couldn't help ourselves. Our eight months together was the most awesome time we spent together. It will be 47 years at the end of November, 1970 and I still love and miss Beth.
