Anthony would! I'm sure of it, and Filo went out in the way many people would, on a blast! What a fabulous flash fiction, Bill, with a brilliant (pun) ending!!!! LOL! Well done, my friend, you certainly know how to write the shorties. :)) Sandra xx

Hi, Bill! Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed the "dribble" and "drabble" challenges, too:)
Hmmm, a very interesting piece, a suicide-murder, apparently. It has the flash fiction "twist" at the end, often that morbid "Oh, f**k" moment, when the character realizes the folly of his actions:)
The "ice pick piercing his brain like a big idea" is a great image and metaphor.
Thanks again for posting!

This short by full story is compelling. I like your descriptive language of the ice pick's plunge. It would seem that the limited word count wouldn't allow for this precise telling. I hope you do well in the contest,

Hi Bill,
another good short piece here for the dribble competition. Sounds like Filo will be dribbling way after this... but will Anthony?
Good piece

This is so true.
He was going to die, but wasn't sure if Antony would.
Great drabble fiction. Love the crispness of the words and they presented a terrific image.
A joy to read.

Quite an evil little ditty here, Bill. Great one with a significant story in the short word count. This should be a great contender for the contest. I just love these flash fiction, dribbles, drabbles and the like! They are so fun to write.

Interesting simile. Something as painful as an ice pick in the brain is compared to a "big idea looking for a light switch?" Don't know why they are enemies but it is quite a story in 51 words!

There can be no sweeter act of revenge than to take out the person engaged in the act of murdering you, killing him while he is killing you. Oh what a lovely surprise.

Excellent contest entry. I guess the moral os the story is. Before sticking and icepick in someone's ear, first, ask if they're carrying a hand grenade.
