It can be so much fun watching the dragonflies take flight especially in the bright sunlight when their wings reflect so much color. Very well written haiku. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the review. They are so playful and come sit on my book when I am reading by the pond. Junkies, close up they look weird and I love them, cheers, j

Yes, erratic flight plans. Poem captures the dragonflies iridescent appearance and weaving movement in flight. To us, their flight appears as play. Poem reminded me of my own dragonfly hovers haiku. Thank you for sharing. I love your satori, too.

Thanks for the review. They seem so playful. At my pond in Vermont they would come and sit on my book so I could watch them up close. Such beautiful colors, cheers j

You gotta love dragonflies and the way they flit, like helicopters gone berserk. Good description in a single word. Nice pairing of partial rhymes (wings, mingling). Finally, an excellent satori in your third line that alludes to aircraft needing a flight plan. A solid entry in this contest.

Thanks for the insightful review. At my forest pond in Vermont there are so many jerking around and landing on my book. I stop read the words and read them. Cool close up. They make these delicate intersecting ripples on the pond as they play, love them, cheers, j
