An Ethical Decison
Driver gets a red light, no one around.3 total reviews

I like the presentation. I like the setting, you can feel the driver's relaxation, the warmth of the night, practically hear the crickets as he/she sits there.
Lines like, "The red eye glaring, the raw diamonds stipple (What a great word for visual effect!) the sky." I can feel the writer's desire to get home and sitting impotently at a red light bound by society's laws and the threat of a ticket if there happens to be a camera or a cop around unseen. It felt a little *flat* though, at the end. Something more challenging like the pep speech in Braveheart...would have left me feeling like a choice was about to be made and I could have played along by guessing what it might be, instead I was given an unenergetic yes or no.
That's the only reason for 4 and not 5.

Thanks for the suggestion and the rationale. I will ponder it.

A nicely rendered work that speaks of the "temptation" we all face. Unfortunately, here in the suburbs of Chicago, there are too many red-light cameras to risk it.

Thanks for the read. Hate those red light cameras.

You're welcome - it was my pleasure.

Ah, this is so relatable. How many people have not been tempted to run that light? Thank God, we are overruled by laws, common sense, and morals.
I have not read the other entries, but Oh, this is such a good one.
Good luck in the contest.
