You win five stars just for the "Arrgh!" alone. Your language seem authentic enough and I believe that it rang true enough to the kind of code a Prate Captain might cause his crew to obey under threat of death and dismemberment.

That was a fun poem, Jeni, and I loved the way you used the olde English text, that was just perfect for it. I used to love pirate tales as a child and now I had a treat given me by your poem. Loved it. :) Sandra xx

I loved this, the half rhymes, alliteration, the flow and of course the fantastic humour! I could read this font better here as it is bigger. I loved this poem the humour and clever turns of phrase, most enjoyed and definitely an awesome and original poem of note, kind regards Meia :)

the old worldy text is so appropriate for
the theme of pirates - a rather fun

A fun poem to read Jeni. I always like pirate stories and the swashbuckling tales.
Vivid imagery in the language.

Reminiscent of a jolly pirate song, very atmospheric, although I found the words a bit difficult to read on my computer! But a very enjoyable read, love Dolly x

The pirate theme so fits this kind of writing. I thought this was a very well portrayed poem and I loved the picture. HO HO HO AND A BOTTLE OF RUM good. Thank you for sharing this poem.

So, when do we parlee? It reminds me of the dialogue of a movie or an old Disney
tele- series. The treatment is just right and it takes me back the bygone years.
I have a slight problem with reading the text as it isn't as clear in outline, which I guess can't be helped.
