This katauta, Swept Away, has a 5-7-7 format and uses water-related words to keep us in the image and feeling the love that floods into us. Nice.

This is a beautiful example of the style. You convey a genuine depth of emotion in your well chosen words - not flowery just simple and yet poweful. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

A very well-written Katauta. Your syllable count is correct, where you choose the 5-7-7 option. The message is clear to the lover, you can see the depth of his love in his eyes, and you want to drown in his love.

A well written sedoka variant of a Katauta poem that reminisces a metaphoric interpretation of the intensity of love evinced in a partner.

The work highlights the propensity of the partner to decipher the depth of love evinced as examplified in the eyes of his or her partner and the uncontrollable yearning for him to drown in it if not held back by the partner.

The work constitutes a significant commentary on the intoxicating dimensions of love.

Excellent work! Bravo!

A well-written contest entry. This was a new form of poetry to me. You have completed the challenge of the contest well. Your artwork completes the beautiful words very well. Good luck in the contest.

Interesting love poem. The first two lines read of someone who is acknowledging that their partner feels a strong love-bond toward them. The last line changes the mood of the poem as the narrator asks to "drown in it." It made me feel a bit sad that the narrator was "drowning" and thereby losing him/herself.

Effective poem in meeting line and syllable count and evoking conflicting emotions.

Wow, I have read so many well-written poems today, and it is only 8:44am eastern standard time, this one included.

I love the passion, love, imagery, metaphors, and message that lie in this poem. I have never heard of the Katauta poetic form, but you mastered it based upon the writing prompt criteria. I have not read the other entries in this poem, but this one should definitely place.

Good luck.
