Your smooth poetic flow reminds me that spring will arrive with all her beauty. I like the images of nature you describe, ducklings and daffodils, wonderful pictures of nature and the warm weather to come.

In my opinion, Jeni, a truly lovely and shining sojourn into life's seasons - well constructed with fluid and perfect rhyme - wistful in its rendering. I very much appreciated and could relate to your tribute to your son. My own child was also an addict and took her own life in 2008, 2 days before her 48th birthday. My tribute to her is also on this site, titled, "Her First Words: A Belated Eulogy"... Eve

Dear Eve,
How sorry I am for your loss. I'll definitely read your poem of tribute to her;; I know how intense the pain can be, no matter how far back in time the event it never goes away. Thank you for reading my poem and for giving it such a fine review. Again, you have my condolences.
Love,
Jeni
Oh, geez, thank you for the six-star rating! That's awesome and I'm humbled, honored and grateful.

Dear Jeni,
Thank you so much for your kind words of comfort - you are so right - the pain never really leaves. Mine has become an ache that is ever present. Since Sabrina and I were estranged, it makes the sense of loss even more palpable. I dream of her often, but in my dreams she is always a child. I believe it's my consciousness attempting to spare me from more pain somehow. I also notice little girls who somewhat resemble her, and for those brief moments, I am transported back in time.
You are so very welcome, Jeni - your poem is very special, and the Six Star rating extremely appropriate...Eve

Oh goodness! This was just beautiful! You do know you have a new fan in me, yes? (LOL - in case you haven't guessed already, I love your poetry). Your description of the seasons is refreshing - quite different. (Who ever thinks to mention the Amish farmer?) I loved it!

Thanks Dawn, and also for the fanship (if that's what you'd call it lol). I mentioned the Amish farmer because I live smack dab in the middle of 'Amish country in Lancaster County, PA. I'm happy you liked this one.

Oh, how wonderful! I enjoyed the countryside in Ontario (surrounding Kitchener area) when I lived there purely because of the Amish farms. You're very welcome.

I did! You have the whole year here in your poem, and what struck me as I read it, is that THIS is about how fast the year seems to go by for me nowadays! hahahaha A fun read! The rhymes were enjoyable and entertaining. Thanks!

This is such a great poem and paints such a great winter picture. It reminds me of the John Lewis advertisement over the Christmas season. I liked the picture as well. Thank you for sharing. Just realised, you are talking about The Bear as in the star collimation... Sorry.

Hahaha, I like the irony between the title and your name. The sky above with all the stars and planets sure is amazing. Well thought out and nicely written. Great visual imagery created. Nice lyrical flow of rhythm. Great work.

What great imagery you have going on with each stanza. It cold here now. Your poems some what take the chill away. Witch makes for a great read. Thank you for sharing, I'm looking forward to reading more.
