What a lovely idea for you essence poem and you chose that delightful photo of a snowflake. Just beautiful. You had the six syllables in your two lines.
Best of luck.

Hello mermaids, Very good. This poem made me smile. I especially liked:

embrace the sight, joy falls

(And then there was peace)

Silky rhyming. Terrific artwork choice. A pleasure to read. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Aah, Mermaids, this is so beautiful! The imagery is just incredible. I saw that blanket of snow. Your reference to falling snow as "joy falls" really grabs me. That phrase is classic personification. I love it!

Also, I like the internal rhymes of "white" and "sight."

You did an excellent job with minimal words.

I feel as if the poem was really short and that it didn't give me any emotions. There also wasn't enough to keep me imagining myself in that poem.

This is my first glimpse of an essence poem. There isn't much here at first sight, but I am seeing the essence of it. You've captured the image of snow squalls with an evocation of a white blanket and the joy that this engenders in in the onlooker. Lovely rhyming. you've also set me thinking, which is good for me. Peter

Nature has definitely got away of amazing us with it's unique beauty, be it a thunder storm or the early morning dew glistening in the morning sun. Snow, snow has its own magic, from the first gentle snowflake floating on the wind to the swirling, squalling blanket of white. Who doesn't love the snow and all it brings to the table. Nice!
