Wow. Very powerful entry in this 2-4-2 contest. True also, words do hurt, and can leave emotional scars, or suicidal scars, a shame. Blessings...

    Thank you SO MUCH!! Beyond appreciated (from everyone!) as always, but especially with these very limited pieces I've always avoided 'cause
    I just didn't think I could pull off saying what I wanted to/making an impact in so little words (& syllables!).. Even though I know that less can often be better, yes!! ;) Thanks again & again!!! :) <3

So few words but such an impact made. We all bear scars whether emotional or physical, the marks of the life that has defined us, but marks should not define us, for every day is a chance for a fresh start,emotional and compact piece with exceptional writing, well done, meia :)

    Wow!! Thank you!! I certainly tried, and use to always avoid anything limiting me length wise especially - 'cause I didn't think I could make that impact w/ so little. Thanks again!!!

Your poem strikes to the heart of the saying. Verbal abuse does leave one scared. Words are quick to lift one up or tear one down

So true, words can penetrate deep and scar us forever and the saying goes that words can't hurt, but they do and your little poem says it all.

This work has reached the exceptional level

I really like this...i just told someone the same thing...watch what you say because words can hurt as badly as a knife or bullet to the heart...doing damage. it is just my opinion and we all have one...but i would have used the word AND rather than BUT. Nice one, and i wish you the best. fluff

    I was reading back through my reviews & for some crazy reason didn't catch (or process maybe out of excitement likely!) the part about using "and" versus "but" - BUT glad I at least caught it in general AND totally see what you're saying too!!! ;) <3
