LOL Nicely done and quite a lot to say in 50 words.
Love the descriptions you use to tell the colors and the way it calms you. Mine is petting my cats

I relished the description of the process you use to paint with watercolors. I use acrylics because I find watercolors unforgiving! Keep enjoying the calm as you escape into your special world. Best wishes in the short, prose contest- Joan

Thank you. I enjoy acrylics, too. I love using both, haha. I also sew and craft. I am always creating something.

This fifty-word story, Watercolor Calm, creates, in this limited word format, the sense of escape that watercolor painting can offer. Nice.

This very short story tells much about the creative process. The speaker finds escape and fulfillment in painting but the interesting thing about it is that once she begins painting she doesn't know where this creative action will take her. So there is fulfillment in the process of painting and the product that is the result of painting, a real win/win situation.

I understand where you are coming from with this. Creativity of any kind releasing the joy of the kid in us. Nicely described for one who likes to paint, too. Good job. Marilyn

This is a splendid entry. Art in any form is a wonderful way to eliminate stress and detoxify the mind which you describe beautifully in this well penned piece. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thank you so much. Yes, it is important in this chaotic world of ours, to remember to do things that help us relax and smile.
Having fun with it all.

I get it.
To escape from the sometimes rigorous, grueling grind of everyday life is a necessary thing to do at times. It helps to keep us balanced and sane.
Well, balanced at least, LOL.
Nicely written. Even though it's short, as required, you set the setting well.
