I relished the description of the process you use to paint with watercolors. I use acrylics because I find watercolors unforgiving! Keep enjoying the calm as you escape into your special world. Best wishes in the short, prose contest- Joan

    Thank you. I enjoy acrylics, too. I love using both, haha. I also sew and craft. I am always creating something.

This fifty-word story, Watercolor Calm, creates, in this limited word format, the sense of escape that watercolor painting can offer. Nice.

This very short story tells much about the creative process. The speaker finds escape and fulfillment in painting but the interesting thing about it is that once she begins painting she doesn't know where this creative action will take her. So there is fulfillment in the process of painting and the product that is the result of painting, a real win/win situation.

I get it.
To escape from the sometimes rigorous, grueling grind of everyday life is a necessary thing to do at times. It helps to keep us balanced and sane.
Well, balanced at least, LOL.
Nicely written. Even though it's short, as required, you set the setting well.
