I do admire this story, and congratulations on your second place finish. The cool, sparkling starlight offers a contrast to Sarah's life. It would be great to be able to slip into another existence, but that is just something to be wished for. We can only make assumptions about Sarah's life, but just stepping into something better is uplifting for her. You make the most of those 50 words! Great work. judi

There is a lot more to this story and you leave the reader to fill in the blanks. Looks like Sarah came to her senses and is off to a better life. Good luck in the contest

Thanks for the review. fifty words go so fast. I always like stories when people are in a bad situation and they gather the courage to trust themselves enough that they take the leap into a better life. .Cheers, j

This fifty word story, Starlight, has a triumphant appeal as we see Sarah leaving a life that had led to something beyond what she could endure any longer. Out into the night and new beginnings. You compacted a misspent life and turnaround into a tight, moving micro story. Nice.

Thanks for the insightful review Bill. I love stories where people in a losing situation realize that there is so much more out there and take that leap of faith. Cheers, j

You have told a story much larger than the 50 words allowed. You filled the writing prompt perfectly and wrote your story in a way that immediately brought speculation in the reader about happened to make your character behave in this way. very nice writing

Thanks for the encouraging review. Fifty words ticks down very fast ha ha.I love stories of people in bad situations that just have had enough and believe things can and will be better, once they make the decision to leave. Cheers, j

Well-written. In just a few words you managed to tell a complete story. The well-chosen words flowed well from the beginning to the end combining easily as the story was told.
