Well done my friend. Good aha moment in the satori. I really like "sea of barley".. The picyure is perfect for the verse. I like this one

Hello, my friend - it's difficult to know just what to say about these short
pieces - although it's amazing what can be said in so few words - as your
Haiku proves. Most enjoyable and I love the presentation.

What a wonderfully parallel artwork you selected! I liked being transported to a "sea of barley" and relished your use of alliteration in this haiku. Cheers- Joan

Excellent presentation of this beautiful haiku. The scene you describe is one that takes our breath away when we actually see it. Marvelous work with this one. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. For some reason, this timed out so I am trying to send it again. You may get it twice.

Hi GBR,
even on a dark gloomy day the light manages to seep through and shine on natures glory. A wonderful picture to accompany you Haiku.

The imagery is concrete and well connected, the kigo is well defined, and the satori a clean observation. Nicely done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

The word, "translucent" implies murkiness to me. It's as if something...some wisdom or direction...is trying to get through to you concerning the pathways you should choose in life, but it's as yet still a bit unclear.
The second line of your phrase indicates the nourishment & strength, both spiritual as well as physical, you'll need to help see you through and bring you to that pathway.
The satori is an epiphany or awakening of sorts. But eventually, the light will get through and your pathway will be illuminated clearly.
I'm probably reading way too much into this.
You might be talking about nothing more than barley in the inky darkness of night, LOL.
Nice work, Gypsy.
