On christmas i am giving out stars to stories that inspire. You drew that? It is wonderful. So is your story.
With a sealskin sack slung over his back, the stranger looked like a robber about to attack. He spoke not a word, but went straight to work. Eugene aimed his toy laser gun and said, "Where's Santa, you jerk?"
This is a funny paragraph.

Yes, I am even more amazed that I wrote and illustrated my story twenty-nine years ago. I no longer draw nor write imaginative, funny fantasy like this. Thank you for your generous, six star review and I hope you have a happy new year, too.

I don't believe in creating a character that represents the character of God or the way they would like to create a character that blackmails a child to behaving the way they want there children to behave, without they themselves having to behave that way! And, that's why I told my Children there was no such person, because I absolved myself, not only was I advocating my job, but I was perpetrating a lie, my children were no less wondrous of Christmas. I know that was not what your point was, (everything White it's right, when it's not) my point is it's much worst than you think, we're producing another generation of the deceived! But well done, you've at least put another slant, on the obviously ugly! Good work, blessings, Roy

You get my six for this creative rendition of Twas the Night Before Christmas...but I wanted him to pull a puppy out of the sack...a white fluffy puppy that I did not get for Christmas..even though I asked Santa to replace the one that was killed by a four wheeler...

Yes, trumby, I had a great imagination twenty-nine years ago when I wrote and illustrated this story. I am going to push in the new year to write more imaginative stories and poems. Thank you for your review.

It's hard to believe this was written 29 years ago. What were you, a very precocious 15 years old? Lol. This impresses me, as all your prose has, with its thematic roots. You've always seemed to look deep and long at justice and egalitarian issues--as of course you should. Good luck with the contest.

Yes, Jay, I am blown away that I wrote and illustrated this twenty-nine years ago. I have more stuff in old binders I have not reviewed yet. One thing that has remained unchanged is my "look deep and long at justice and egalitarian issues." I am still doing that today. Thank you for your generous, six star review and member cent pumps. Thank you, Kathleen, for your late, night thoughts. There is nothing politically correct about the Inuit making clothing from animals. Neither is there anything culturally correct about the west making clothes out of animals, too--leathers, skins, and furs. I look at culture how it is instead of how we wish it to be. I do not sugar coat it. Thank you for your review and for reading my late night musings.

Yeah, Robyn, I have been slapped upside my head with talent. I had so much that it took a while for me to decide which way to go. Even now, I tell stories, recite poetry, and act on top of writing stories and poems. Sometimes I have to switch to focus on one talent or another. You are the second to urge me to resume drawing. Thank you, Sandra, for your generous review. I wrote this story twenty-nine years ago and then stopped writing for twenty-five years. I will do all I can to crank out as many stories and poems that I can in 2017. Thank you also for your contest best wishes.

A very lovely story leaning to the side of 'good' it doesn't really matter if he is black, white, or brindle, to each their own. I reckon children will love this story. I did and I'm not a kid. Interesting way you wrote it to, half in rhyme, cute touch. Regards Mabaker.

This is written from a uniquely Inuit perspective and is a wonderfully well-written variation on that much beloved Christmas classic poem, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas", by Clement Clarke Moore in 1822.
