And skips around happily among parked cars, seemingly always knowing which way to move...looks to me like an excellent "nature" five/seven/five.

That sparrow isn't doing much skipping out our way. Thanks for sharing my poem and your kind praise. Rod

Really nice picture of the most iconic of friendly, stalwart neighborhood bird. Even without this picture I think I'd imagine a sparrow.
Three short lines and yet I can see him tenaciously holding strong to the stalk as it is buffeted by wind and sleet also.
Like it.

This 5-7-5 about nature, Sparrow Is My Hero, raises up the tiny flyer to the status of faithful companion. Steadfastness could be a trait we learned from watching such creatures. Nice poem.

A well-written contest entry. Your well-chosen words flowed well and combined easily forming the message of the poem for the reader. I think you have completed the challenge of the contest well

I really relate to this poem. The sparrow is always there through all kinds of weather.
They're so small, how do they keep warm. The picture was a great choice, but the words painted the same picture without the picture. Great job.

The common sparrow certainly is a stayer. No fleeing to warmer climes for him or her! They make a good metaphor for human endurance in hard times. Good luck in the contest.

Isn't Nature wonderful gifting us the sparrow 'stalwart winter friend' to be our inspiration during winter's chilly days - beautifully portrayed here in this 5/7/5 Nature
