Congratulations on a well-deserved win! I find this florette form to be difficult to execute artistically, and, in my view, doing that is a special accomplishment. Your poem easily was the best of the lot.

A well-written contest entry. I think you completed the challenge of the contest well. Your artwork and background color completed the piece well. Good luck in the contest

Great Christmas Florette. Form fit and function are wondeful. Message is exceptional. I believe I saw one slight grammatical error that interferes with flow just a little: I believe "thoughtful gestures makes" , should be, "thoughtful gestures make". That did not prevent me from giving it the 5 it deserves. Merry Christmas. By the wt, you have my vote also.

Thanks for the review and vote. People have lost the true meaning of Christmas buying useless gifts and so frazzled they cannot enjoy the precious time with family. Just to take an afternoon with an elderly relative is priceless. We should realize the gift of our time. Cheers, j

Thanks for the insightful review. We seem so preoccupied with phones and ipods that the precious time with family and friends is gone forever. Instead of scrolling for hours reading gossip about Brad Pitt or the Kardashians, sit down with your mom and ask about when she was young and what she dreamed about when she was your age. Those are the stories worth your time. Cheers, j

the gift of giving is a blessing for those in need it doesn't have to cost much maybe a free cup of coffee for some one down on their luck

Wow! You took the challenge and so swiftly and created such an excellent spirit of Christmas poem! What could be more like Christmas when we celebrate God giving of Himself for humankind, but to give ourselves, our time our listening hearts to others?

Exactly. Even just spending an hour having tea with an elderly friend is priceless. People seem to be so busy buying useless stuff, when the best gift would be something so simple as YOU. Thanks for the insightful review and those sparkly stars that encourage me so. Cheers, j

A very well-written Florrette and a very interesting format I would like to try. Not everyone accept or appreciate a gift of someone's self. The value glitter and gold much higher than the special gifts that come from the heart.

Thanks for the review Sandra. People are so busy rushing around buying yet more 'stuff', when a treasured gift would be of themselves. Just having tea with an elderly friend is worth more than all the boxes of chocolates in the world.(hmmmm, maybe not.... ha ha) Even a smile to someone down and out, is a thoughtful, genuine gift. Cheers, j
